Engineering & Water Resources, Inc. Projects
EWR provided consulting and agricultural engineering services to develop a plan for collection, storage and recycling of manure generated at the horse stables. This was accomplished by identifying existing nutrient sources and sinks, potential surface water transport mechanisms, and developing Best Management Practices to minimize the potential for nutrient transport offsite. The project is being required to apply for permit coverage under the Confined Animal Feeding Operation (CAFO) permitting program administered by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. This project also includes consumptive water use permitting with SFWMD and engineering design and construction inspection during implementation of the BMP plan. Project DescriptionPayson Park consists of a 660 acre thoroughbred racehorse training faciltiy in southwestern Martin County. |
