Engineering & Water Resources, Inc. Projects
EWR provided design and construction phase services throughout the development of the project. Construction specifications and drawings were prepared for land grading, onsite water, wastewater and reclaimed water utilities, roads, parking and storm water management. A supplemental groundwater supply was designed along with an integrated golf course stormwater management system including interconnecting piping, water control structures, lift stations and lakes. Permit applications were prepared for approval by the SFWMD, FDOT, Town of Jupiter, Palm Beach County and FDEP. Periodic construction observation services were included to assess conformance with the project design and prepare final completion certifications for the work. Project DescriptionThis project is the first of its kind for the Ritz-Carlton, Marriot group. The 285 acre site is now home to an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, a world class spa, tennis facilities, club house, single family homes and interval ownership residential units. As if this isn't enough, it also continues to be the home of a thriving Bald Eagle nest protected in a well thought out preserve area. It includes over 13,200 feet of water mains, 12,000 feet of gravity sewer lines, 7,600 feet of sewer force main, three wastewater pump stations, three irrigation water supply wells and several miles of roads. In addition, we designed approximately 18,000 feet of storm drainage piping from 15" to 60" diameter and an1,800 foot reclaimed water (IQ) main. As with The Bear's Club project, EWR worked very closely with the Nicklaus Design team and the golf course contractor to design and construct backbone components of the golf course drainage system, including lakes and lift stations. The construction of the infrastructure for the Ritz - Carlton Golf Club & Spa was completed in 2004.. |
