The concept was created and implemented to chemically remove phosphorus from storm water runoff from the Dry Lake Dairy. This project also included preliminary and final design, cost feasibility, permitting, construction administration and system start up. Project DescriptionThe goal of the project was to capture storm water runoff from the 1200-acre dairy and provide water quality treatment to reduce the total phosphorus concentrations prior to off-site discharge. The design includes a 50+ acre impoundment, inflow pump station, water control structures, and a chemical treatment basin. |
